I'm fundraising for leadership in the NT!
This May, I’m taking on the Leadership on Larapinta FUNdraising Walk, trekking 100km through the stunning Larapinta Trail to raise funds for a Central Australian leader to participate in the Australian Rural Leadership Program (ARLP).
The ARLP is a life-changing 15-month leadership program that builds skills, confidence, and networks for leaders in rural, regional, and remote Australia. But not everyone has access to a scholarship, which is why I’m stepping up to help fund one.
🎯 My goal is to raise $7000, contributing to our shared goal of $55,000 to fully fund a scholarship. 100% of funds go directly to the scholarship.

Friday 16th May ** UPDATE ** 16th May 2025 **The Territory Connect team are working with our 'Walk Partner' to lock in new dates to ensure the inspiring group of leaders (from all over Australia) who are representing the Leadership on Larapinta in 2025 will be able to make the new 'walk date' work.
While plans have shifted, our purpose hasn't changed.
My hiking boots are broken in and I am keen to hit the trail as soon as the new date has been confirmed.
In the meantime, we are all full steam ahead to reach our collective fundraising goal of $55,000 for a full scholarship to the 2026 ARLP.

Hi everyone, I’m Amber! I was born in Queensland, raised and educated in New South Wales, and for the past 26 years, I’ve called the Northern Territory home. My husband and I live on a remote cattle station, where we raised our two sons and experienced firsthand the challenges and resilience needed to thrive in an isolated environment—400km from the nearest town.
Over the years, I’ve come to truly value investing in personal education and, just as importantly, sharing knowledge and experiences with the wider community. That’s why this year, I’ve stepped up to take on the 2025 Leadership on Larapinta FUNdraising Walk with three big goals in mind:
1️⃣ To inspire others—Step out of your comfort zone, invest in yourself, and become the best version of you.
2️⃣ To raise awareness for the Australian Rural Leadership Program (ARLP)—100% of the funds we raise on this hike will go towards a full ARLP scholarship for a Territorian in 2026.
3️⃣ To challenge myself—This will be my first long-distance hike, and I’m looking forward to testing my grit, determination, and motivation alongside some amazing people.
