Join me in making a difference

Hi, I'm Graham Smith. The amazing experiences I had with the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation convinced me that its people and programs make a huge, positive difference to thousands of people in rural, regional and remote communities.

I had the great privilege of working with the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation (ARLF) for seven years. Though I have retired, my dedication to supporting the organisation remains strong, particularly in raising funds for the merit-based scholarships that uphold the long record of excellence. These scholarships are vital for continuing the legacy of high standards and transformative leadership programs.

I'm reaching out to seek your support for a cause close to my heart. In April 2024, I will embark on the Country Roads Cycle Tour, a challenging, fully self supported cycle tour from Canberra, ACT, to Brisbane, Queensland, set to start on Tuesday, 2 April. This three-week journey covers 1400 km across diverse landscapes and communities, including my hometowns of Tamworth and Barraba, areas rich in family history and significance to me.

As I cycle through these regions, I will also be paying my respects to the Traditional Lands of the Ngunnawal, Wiradjuri, Kamilaroi, Barranggam, Bundjalung, Yuggera, and Turrbal people.

This ride isn't just a personal endeavour; it's a journey that weaves through the heart of Australia's rural communities, highlighting the importance of leadership development and support in these areas.

I also look forward to sharing this adventure with you and the wider ARLF community, including alumni and friends along the way. Your support means the world to me and to the future leaders who will benefit from your generosity.

Thanks for your support,
Graham
